Rye already brings plenty of spice of its own. Here, the botanicals take that character further, adding aromatic herbs, savory depth, and a subtle licorice note without losing the dry, grain-driven character of the whiskey.

The result is layered and expressive, with warm spice at the front, herbal notes through the middle, and a long, slightly savory finish.
 

The Epicurean is particularly good neat, where the rye and botanicals have time to separate and develop. A little ice opens the aromatics further, and its herbal character gives bartenders plenty to work with in a restrained whiskey cocktail.
